Meet Heather & Amber

Heather Dean and Amber Wagnon met in January 2012 as they both began a doctorate program at Texas Tech University (TTU) in Lubbock, Texas.  Surviving the reading, writing, and long hours of pursuing their doctorate sealed their friendship and since graduating from TTU, they have extended their friendship to working collaboratively together on research and writing projects as well as presenting their work in various conferences.

Both Heather and Amber worked as secondary English teachers prior to beginning their careers in teacher education. 

Heather is currently an Assistant Professor of Secondary Education at California State University at Stanislaus and Amber is an Assistant Professor of Secondary Education at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Together they hope to continue to make an impact on educators through their collaboration and love of this profession.
